Senior Electrical project manager

My client is strengthening its commitment to sustainable operations and is seeking an independent Senior Project Manager specialised in Electrification. In this assignment, you will guide major initiatives that support the shift toward low carbon mobility and renewable energy. You will help deploy an extensive electrification program across a large network of sites, contributing to the transformation of the company’s logistics and energy footprint.

You will collaborate directly with the Energy Transition leadership and work alongside teams in Real Estate, Fleet, Engineering, and Infrastructure.

Assignment Overview

As a freelance Senior Electrical Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Steering large‑scale electrification efforts, including charging‑infrastructure deployment, solar‑energy projects, and other clean‑energy solutions.
• Designing strategic roadmaps for the organization’s energy transition, with a focus on long‑term charging capacity and renewable‑energy integration.
• Acting as a technical reference for electrical systems, ensuring alignment with medium‑ and high‑voltage standards, substation requirements, and cable‑sizing methodologies.
• Coordinating internal project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent progress and alignment with broader objectives.
• Setting up and maintaining robust project governance frameworks covering planning, budgeting, risk control, and stakeholder communication.
• Bringing forward innovative ideas, sustainable practices, and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes.

Your Profile

You bring a blend of technical depth and leadership experience:

• Degree in electrical engineering, electromechanics, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing complex projects, ideally within energy, electrification, or infrastructure environments.
• Solid understanding of MV/HV systems, electrical cabins, and cable‑calculation tools (knowledge of Caneco is beneficial).
• Strong organizational and administrative capabilities to manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and energize teams in a consultancy setting.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and French, with good working knowledge of English.
• Experience with EV charging technologies or renewable‑energy projects is advantageous but not essential.
• Dutch and French speaking is beneficial
